Cancellation Policy for NYC Events 2023-2024
Unfortunately, we are not able to offer refunds for cancelling one of our events. If you cancel your event, your deposit will be forfeited, and we may not be able to work with you in the future.
You may email us your cancellation request at information@geniusgems.com and our response (within 24 hours) will be confirmation of receipt of your email. If you do not hear from us, then we have not received your request.
If you need to change your date, we will consider your request for extenuating circumstances. There will be a $200 + tax event change charge. We ask you to let us know as soon as possible if you need to change the date.
Changing your date of the event is subject to our availability. No refunds will be given if you choose not to reschedule your event.
Refunds/credits will not be issued in the following situations:
- You decide you no longer wish to hold your event.
- In the event that less guests than expected show up, we are unfortunately not able to offer refunds or credits.
- Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate requests to downgrade your package once you select a package a submit payment.
- If the host is sick or unavailable, and doesn't wish to reschedule the event, we are unfortunately not able to offer a refund or credit for last minute cancellations.
Additional charge:
If your guests stay past the designated end time of the event, you will be charged an additional fee of $200 per 1/2 hour for staying past the event end time.
Mask Policy: For 2024 events, Genius Gems plans to make masks optional, in accordance with CDC guidelines. If however, the CDC designates our zip code as a high risk area, Genius Gems reserves the right to require masks. No refunds or credits will be issued for withdrawing from the event due to mask policies. Thank you for respecting our policies. Please reach out with questions prior to enrolling in the class.
