Science Innovation Lab (K-2nd)
Our Science Innovation class for Kindergarten through 2nd grade students introduces young minds to the fascinating world of engineering through hands-on projects and fun activities. In this course, students will explore fundamental engineering principles by building and testing a shooting ball net, learning about force and trajectory. They will experiment with a balance scale, discovering concepts of weight, balance, and measurement. The highlight of the class is designing and constructing a motorized vacuum machine, which teaches basic mechanics, circuits, and problem-solving. Through these engaging projects, students develop critical thinking, creativity, and a love for science and engineering.
Engineering & Maker Lab (1st-3rd)
Our Maker Lab class is an exciting journey into the world of engineering, 3D printing, and design, perfect for budding young inventors. In this hands-on course, students will dive into the fundamentals of engineering by designing and building their own mini cars, learning about aerodynamics and mechanics along the way. They'll explore the fascinating principles of magnetism through interactive projects that demonstrate magnetic fields and forces. Additionally, students will take on the challenge of elements of circuitry, and 3D printing to bring their innovative designs to life. This class encourages creativity, problem-solving, and a passion for making, empowering students to turn their ideas into reality.
Engineering and Tech Lab (1st-4th)
Our Engineering and Tech Lab class for 1st to 4th graders is an engaging, hands-on journey into the world of engineering and technology. Students will explore the exciting possibilities of 3D printing, designing and creating their own unique projects. They'll delve into electrical engineering by constructing a traffic light circuit, learning about circuitry and control systems. Additionally, students will harness renewable energy by building a solar-powered fan, gaining insights into solar technology and sustainability. This dynamic class encourages creativity, critical thinking, and a passion for innovation, providing a strong foundation in engineering and technology.
Design Bar Lab with 3D Printing (1st-4th)
Discover the exciting world of design and creation in our Design Bar and 3D Printing class, tailored for students in 1st through 4th grade. In this hands-on class, young innovators will explore the magic of photochromic slime, which changes colors when exposed to different light conditions, and learn to craft their own unique laser-cut glitter tiles and cloud clay creations. Students will also dive into the basics of 3D printing, creating their own custom jewelry pieces to take home. Tech Creator Lab (3rd-6th)
Our Tech Creator Lab class is designed for students in grades 3-6 who are eager to explore the dynamic world of technology through hands-on projects and creative challenges. This exciting course integrates 3D printing, coding, and engineering, allowing young tech enthusiasts to bring their innovative ideas to life. Students will dive into electrical engineering by building parallel and series circuits, gaining a solid understanding of how electricity flows. They'll also design and construct a motorized Wheel of Fortune game, combining coding and mechanics for a fun, interactive experience. Additionally, students will learn how to build with Vex Robotics.
